I was helping my mother-in-law launch her own furniture store while I was taking time away. I wanted to look into creating a customized hand-blown glass ornament that she could exclusively sell in her store located in a touristy Texas location. I have always been an avid ornament collector and it is a big deal in our house for everyone to pick out their own special ornament each year. The unboxing of the ornaments and everyone looking back at the years past is a priceless tradition I cherish.

I started to evaluate the existing Texas ornaments on the market and realized they were all designed and made in the North East and were the most cliche red, white and blue rustic versions of Texas. I decided we needed something more modern and fun that still reflects the great state of Texas but with a point of view from an actual Texan vs an outsider looking in. I have been in product design & development, brand management, and marketing for watches and jewelry most of my professional career and decided an ornament was really no different than any other watch or ring I have ever brought to market. It took about a year of product development before we launched publicly and I had so much fun doing it. It felt like all of my years of life led me to this point to enable me to do exactly what I was always mean to do.
