Being at UT taught me no one is confined to their box. Just because my engineering degree plunged me into a world of formulas and calculations, doesn’t mean I can’t explore my creativity at the same time. That’s why Burpie Baby was born – I just wanted to work on something cute!

I was carpooling to lunch with one of my coworkers who was a new mom, and in the backseat, I saw huge trash bags of baby clothes piled up. She explained the baby clothes were her son’s, who has since grown double the size in mere months. My coworker was planning to haul the clothing to her mom friend’s house in hopes that they would fit her child. I listened to my coworker explain all the challenges of dressing a child that grows “an inch a minute” and how impossible it seemed to avoid waste. Thus, Burpie Baby was born!
