You’re invited to the KS WELI FoundHER Panel on Wednesday, October 18th, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm! KS WELI FoundHERs Arya Eledath, Sarah Seraj, Gabrielle Duhon, and Ramya Nambala will sit down to chat about their best tips to avoid burnout when starting business. If you’re looking to launch a business or discover best practices for balance and mental health, this panel is for you.
About Their Businesses:
Athena is an edtech startup creating personalized tutors for K-12 students. They’ve created an AI tutor webapp that tutors students on different subjects (i.e. math, english, social studies), incorporating students’ interests, using case studies and more. They’re currently working on creating text-to-speech integrations and integrating graphs into their webapp to accommodate for visual and auditory learners. Athena has set up a partnership with an Austin-based charter school to test out the first version of the webapp.
A Better Force empowers individuals and companies to transform themselves through our customized leadership and professional development programs. Their training is tailored to fit the unique needs of our clients, with an emphasis on well-being, equity, and step-by-step, practical solutions. The business offers one-on-one coaching sessions for individuals, customized group workshops for companies, as well as management and data consultancy to empower businesses. Their personal training topics include building confidence, overcoming fears, understanding core values and other tools for crafting a better life. On the professional side, A Better Force offers training on effective time management, ethical leadership and creating an engaged and motivated workforce. Their signature workshops on anti-racism and equity include learning how to be a better, more effective anti-racist ally, finding your authentic voice as a person of color and learning how to counter Islamophobia. Through A Better Force’s data consultancy, they also review proposals and company policies to help businesses be more equitable.
Get In the Path aims to solve this problem particularly in the formative years of K-6th grade. This site aims to create a digital support structure for rural communities by serving as an educational medium/hub. It is based on simulating the core aspect of rural places, the bonds of community. The website connects teachers, students, and parents. Teachers can connect with each other through the teacher blog platform. Parents can communicate with one another through a parent communication forum and students can learn via educational and cognitive building resources curated by Get in the Path and AI. This creates a support network to empower rural students.
