My great grandfather’s book changed me. His story showed me that freedom is not an idea, it is built by people who take responsibility and act. I saw that entrepreneurship is a path to do that work at scale. It lets you design tools, create jobs, and shape habits that move communities forward. I once heard that wealth is life paying you for the value you create in others’ lives. I take that as a duty, not a trophy. I want to build things that help people focus, grow, and live with intention. That is why I chose entrepreneurship. I want to bring more light into the world.

What is One of Your Proudest Moments in Creating Your Business?

There have been a few highs, but nothing like getting the first MVP live. Watching Focus Zones run in a real space felt impossible just weeks earlier, and then it worked. Before I moved fully into software, I won a Texas Venture Group pitch competition with Tikkun, the early version of my product (now REGA) designed to help people reduce phone distractions and focus. As a Latino founder, that win mattered. It told me I belong in these rooms and that my perspective adds value.

How Did You Come Up With The Idea For Your Business?

The idea is personal. In 2020 I deleted Instagram for the first time and realized how much my attention and confidence had been drifting. I kept thinking about it, journaling patterns, and listening to peers who felt the same. I wanted a practical fix that meets people where they are. This year I began building. REGA uses Focus Zones and simple rituals to remove friction and make presence easier. The goal is clear value: help people get their focus back, starting with what I had to learn for myself.
