Mansi Parikh

“Becoming an entrepreneur was something I never envisioned for myself before college. As soon as I picked it up, I quickly fell in love with the journey, specifically within the social impact space. I’m lucky to have found amazing communities at UT and peers whose passion inspire and motivate me to pursue what I believe in. Being an entrepreneur has allowed me to grow personally and professionally by empowering me to put my vision into action and follow a long-standing passion of mine, mental health awareness. There are endless ways entrepreneurship has pushed me to a better version of myself, and I’m thankful for all the support the UT entrepreneurial community has provided me throughout this journey.”

About Psykhe

Psykhe is an online platform that uses data-driven matching to equip college students with mental health professionals that fit their needs, making long-term therapy more accessible.

College students are particularly vulnerable to mental health issues with 25% of young adults having a diagnosable mental illness. Mental illness affects one’s ability to function on a daily basis, making it extremely difficult to balance the full-time responsibilities of a college student.

Founder, Mansi Parikh, noticed the debilitating effects of mental illness on those close to her. Many students don’t seek treatment or are dissatisfied with resources that exist as consistent counseling is hard to get. Finding the right long-term therapist can be a time-consuming, burdensome process, which is enough to deter many from taking the first step to seek help. Mansi’s own experience with finding a therapist and the stories of many other peers inspired her to start a venture that works to make mental health treatment more accessible for students like herself.

Psykhe strives to make the therapy search process seamless from start to finish. We give students hope that the proper help is out there and it is easier to find than they think. Our goal is to improve the quality of life of students and bring stability into their lives.
