KS WELI-Sponsored Courses

Our courses give students hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership. Whether you’re dreaming up your first venture or building skills to lead within an organization, KS WELI-sponsored courses bring real-world learning into the classroom.

Each course is open to all registered UT Austin students, regardless of major, sex, or background. Together, they create a connected network of students and faculty redefining what it means to be a founder.

FA355 | Women in Entrepreneurship

Co-taught by Jan Ryan & Kendra Scott, this flagship course offers a unique blend of lectures, founder stories, and experiential learning, all through the lens of the underrepresented founder. Classes take place both in the Fall and Spring at the Kendra Scott HQ, making this a one-of-a-kind immersive experience.

This course is application based. Applications typically open and close prior to each registration period, so be sure to follow us on social to be notified.

WOMEN IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (WIE)  SPECIALIZATION

The Women in Entrepreneurship (WiE) Specialization is a partnership between KS WELI and the McCombs School of Business Entrepreneurship Minor. This first-of-its-kind academic pathway allows undergraduates to explore entrepreneurship through an inclusive and interdisciplinary lens, connecting creativity, business, and leadership.

Students complete WiE courses (which fulfill requirements #4 and/or #5 of the minor) to graduate with a specialization credential that highlights their commitment to entrepreneurial thinking and impact.

This specialization is available to all students within the Entrepreneurship Minor regardless of sex.
